青春與夢(mèng)想

Ladies and Gentlemen , Good afternoon! I’m very glad to stand here and give you a short speech. today my topic is “youth”. I hope you will like it , and found the importance in your youth so that more cherish it. Do you know what is youth? How do you master your youth?

Youth is not a time of life, it is a state of mind ; it is not rosy cheeks , red lips and supple knees, it is a matter of the emotions : it is the freshness ; it is the freshness of the deep springs of life .

Youth means a temperamental predominance of courage over timidity of the appetite , for adventure over the love of ease. This often exists in a man of 60 more than a boy of 20 . Nobody grows old merely by a number of years . We grow old by deserting our ideals.

Years wrinkle the skin , but to give up enthusiasm wrinkles the soul . Worry , fear , self –distrust bows the heart and turns the spirit back to dust .

Whether 60 of 16 , there is in every human being ‘s heart the lure of wonders, the unfailing childlike appetite of what’s next and the joy of the game of living . In the center of your heart and my heart there’s a wireless station : so long as it receives messages of beauty , hope ,cheer, courage and power from men and from the infinite, so long as you are young .

When the aerials are down , and your spirit is covered with snows of cynicism and the ice of pessimism, then you are grown old ,even at 20 , but as long as your aerials are up ,to catch waves of optimism , there is hope you may die young at 80.

青春不是生命的一段時(shí)光，而是一種心境；青春不是桃面、丹唇、柔膝，而是情感：青春是鮮活的，是生命的深泉在涌流。

青春意味著氣質(zhì)上的勇氣多于怯懦的欲望，冒險(xiǎn)勝過(guò)安逸的愛(ài)。一個(gè)60歲的男人比一個(gè)20歲的男孩多。沒(méi)有人僅僅因?yàn)闅q月而變老。不思進(jìn)取。

歲月悠悠，衰微只及肌膚，熱忱拋卻，頹廢必致靈魂。擔(dān)憂、恐懼、缺乏自信會(huì)扭曲人的心靈，并使青春化為塵土。

不管16個(gè)人中有60個(gè)，每個(gè)人心中都有奇跡的誘惑，孩童般天真的胃口，渴望下一步的生活和游戲的樂(lè)趣。在你我的心底，都有一座無(wú)線電臺(tái)，它能在多長(zhǎng)時(shí)間里接收到人間萬(wàn)物傳遞來(lái)的美好、希望、歡樂(lè)、鼓舞和力量的信息，你就會(huì)年輕，直到永遠(yuǎn)。

一旦天線倒塌，銳氣便被冰雪覆蓋，玩世不恭、自暴自棄彌漫，即使年方20，實(shí)已垂垂老矣；但只要豎起天線，捕捉樂(lè)觀信號(hào)，你就有望在80。
